Last Night Games:

Key Lime 13 Grey 10 - In a battle for 1st place, the speed and athleticism of 
Key Lime was too much for Grey to handle.  The teams are now tied at 5-2 but 
Key Lime is in 1st by virtue of winning the head to head matchup.

Black 13 Purple 10 - Black continued their resurgence with a tough victory 
over Purple

Green 15 White 8 - Captain Kromer and crew were too much for a seriously 
depleted White.   

Royal- Navy - This game might be rescheduled but, if not, forfeit victory to 
Navy as Royal was too lame to have 7 people show up.

AWARDS:  We will be presenting awards once again this summer.  Male and 
Female "Toby" award to the person who best exemplifies the ideals of RIPUL by 
their outstanding play and good spirit.  We will also be awarding a male and 
female best newcomer for the person who has improved the most this summer.  
This award is not strictly limited to brand new players but to those who have 
not played very much disc.  If you have any nominations, please send them to 
me.  I will share your thoughts with the other captains who get to vote.

Hat League:  We have been tentatively discussing the possibility of having a 
mini-league for the first couple of weeks in August.  I'm not sure whether 
there will be sufficient interest or whether we can get fields (probably but 
not confirmed) but I wanted people to lt me know if they are interested in 
playing.  We probably wouldn't charge any more money though if we must we 
might charge another $5.  What would we do is place everybody in hat and pick 
teams at random.  If you are interested, let me know.

Wednesday Games:  

Key Lime vs Green - Moses Brown Lacrosse
Royal vs. Black - Moses Brown tennis court

Playoffs:  Saturday July 31st at wheeler fields in seekonk.  quarters, semis, 
and finals.  losers in quarters play each other in consolation round so 
everybody will play at least 2 games.  BBQ to follow the finals.  more info 
next week.
