People:

1) No games on Wednesday July 12th. There will be pickup at Moses Brown at
6:00 P.M.

Games Monday are back on the East Side.

Purple vs. Gold - Moses Brown Tennis Courts
Key Lime vs. Berry Red - Brown #1
Denim vs. Pine - Brown #2
Black vs. White - Brown #3

2) Scott Mathieu of Gold is missing a Penny and Oy wedding disc. It was at
the field yesterday so if somebody picked up, let me know and/or bring it
next time.

Also, Eric Kim of Denim lost a watch about two weeks ago (black, Timex
Expedition, velcros strap, few scratches on the face, big sentimental value,
would LOVE to have it back). He is also looking for a white disc, pretty
new-looking, with a banana on the front.

On to the action:

(by Eric Weis of Pine)

Key Lime 13 Pine 11

yesterday lime beat green 13-11 at Moses Brown in a game capped due to
darkness. Both teams played zone d for much of the game (in a blustery
wind), making for some VERY long points. Once again, only 2 women showed
up for green (Cal and Meredith) but showed great endurance. Dan Cogan and
Scott Martin headed up a steady lime offense. After the game, Lime gave
Green the best cheer of the season. Congrats to Lime on their 1st RIPUL
victory.

DENIM 17 BERRY RED 10

(by Captain Chia of Denim)

A good game for both teams. Denim took a half time lead of 9-4. Denim stuck
to a Zone D. while Red used a man D. Denim played some great Zone D. and
showed great improvement over last weeks Zone D. Notable was a brutal point
where the Denim's cup consisting of Molly, Eric K., and Chris H. was
relentless, and the Mid D. of Shawn F., Kaitlin and Nathan was a solid wall.
Red showed extreme patiance by finally working it in for a score. Red
played the second half with only two women players who continued to play
tough. While Denim kept mainly a Zone D in the second half.

Gold 17 Black 12

Both teams were short-handed. Black was without Captain Moses and Greg A.
Gold was missing all sorts of players including Mike D. who is off on the
professional frisbee golf disc tour for the next month and only had 6 guys
and 3 women. Gold jumped out to a quick 4-1 lead but Black quickly rebounded
to tie the game up at 4. Tied at 6, Black went on a run to take half 9-6.
Gold was playing person D but once the mark was broken, Black was able to get
some flow and score. Gold was visibly tired at the end of the 1st half as we
didnt have many subs and well Black has alot of good athletes. Second half
was a completely different story. Gold finally slapped on a 1-3-3 zone that
Black had alot of trouble handling resulting in quick turnovers and scores.
Down 9-6, Gold quickly caught up and pulled away. Captain Scotty had an
excellent 2nd half steeping up when we needed him with timely cuts, precise
throws, and controlling the air. Steve Canon was once again solid as a rock
and Sarah H. and Samir are both showing alot of improvement and getting
actively involved in both the O and D.
