People:

Next Monday and Wednesday June 11 and 13, we will continue to play at Brown
AC in the way back. For those who showed up on Wednesday and didnt get as
much play time as they wanted, be advised that we will have a 3rd field to
use at Moses Brown across the street to use as well. Everybody show up at
Brown and, if the numbers warrant it, we will send a group over to MB.

There are quite a few people who have signed up but have not shown up yet at
pickup/orientation. I would encourage everybody to make an appearance. In
particular, these sessions are invaluable to newer players as they get to
play and learn the fundamentals in a stress-free, no-pressure environment.

Right now, everybody who has signed up (ie., paid or worked something out
with me) will get to play. I only have about 10-15 slots left for men though
so slackers beware. As for women, please encourage your female friends to
come out and play. We only have about 26 women signed up so far and can
easily accomodate another 20 or so.

For those women who want to play some disc TOMORROW Saturday June 9, there
will be a female only hat tourney from 10-3 at Mitre Fields in Burlington,
Mass, about an hour from Providence. Directions are at
http://www.buda.org/dir/mitre.html. Cost: $ 5 per person. A hat tourney
means your name is placed in a hat and you are selected to play on a random
team.

About 15 of us went over to Oliver's on Brook Street after Wednesday night
pickup and we had a blast. We discussed with management the fact that they
never had any food and pretty much took us for granted last season and we
have been assured that they will have adequate staff and the kitchen open to
feed everybody. Wednesday night is $1 Rolling Rocks there and upstairs there
are 2 pool tables, a foosball table, and some video games, and a Television
to entertain. The place is empty usually pretty much except for else. So,
dont be a weeny and go straight home after your game, come socialize at
Oliver's, it really does make the whole RIPUL experience much more fun.

On Monday night at Oliver's, we will hold the draft lottery to determine the
order of picks for the draft to be held on Thursday. The suspense is
riveting I know.

Next Friday, I will inform everybody what team they are on and the schedule
will be up. All games this year will start at 5:30.
