3) GAMES LAST NIGHT:

DENIM 17 GREEN 12
(Corey of Green reports)
It was a steamy day at Wheeler. The heat kept most of the Screaming Green
women at bay and only the superstar Megan Nolan was present when the game
began. Denim was nice enough to give us Silvia a URI veteran who played
extremely well raising denims doubt to where her true loyalties are. Thanks
again Silvia. She was relieved shortly thereafter by Jenna which I hear now
has a poster of her playing disc that comes in a box of Chilly Os cereal.
Collect all 4.
The first half was tighter then a suspension wire. Both teams traded points
throughout the half. There was a lot of violence on the field that day and
blood was drawn. I personally had to restrain Scott after he was elbowed in
the face by Alan and split his lip. Worse still Matty dropped a flying elbow
like a WWF move on Hope in the end zone but he made the catch and paid the
price. When he got up he was paper thin. Denim eeked out at half 9-8 over
green.
After the half the Screaming Green Machine was greased up the engine was
primed yet the gear was in neutral and we were flooring it. The result was
plenty of noise but not much movement. The game would have been pretty close
if it wasnt for the Nat factor. Nat is a RIPUL veteran who has the uncanny
ability to disappear when not looked at. His deep game was fantastic scoring
at least 3 points for denim. Denim wins the game 17-12 and the Greens drop
further still.
On a lighter note there were plenty of antics at Olivers last night that I
feel obligated to inform the masses about. I am not positive how it started
but I believe it was to be a drinking contest between Kali and Pranay.
Controversy ensued as to whether or not this would be a fair competition so
more tasks were added. I believe the string ended up as follows. The first
person to do 20 sit ups then , pound half a beer, take off their shirt, do
more sit ups, then put their shirt back on, and finish their beer wins.
Pranay won. Even if the order wasnt entirely accurate it was close and
absolutely hysterical to watch. To my knowledge another challenge between the
two has been offered and excepted though I know not what they plan to do or
when. Well keep you posted as events develop.

BURGANDY 17 WHITE 16
(Captain Chia of White reports)
One stinking point, one stinking point, its all for fun though right? one
stinking point! Score was not as close in the first half as white was
tentative on O but great on D, Burgandy 9 WHite 4 at half, traded points
Burgandy up 11 - 5, but White calmed down or something happened, beacuse
white came storming back to tie it at 12-12, great leaping grabs from Cass,
White actually took their first lead at 15-14, but then Burg came back and
took lead 16-15, with a great Bill Brown behind the back backhand (we've all
seen it) for the lenght of the field for a score, White held on and took
next point to tie, But burgandy was able to score the last point on a Paula
Perez grab in the endzone.. Lots of screaming in this game, pretty intense,
but all in all considering the score, good spirit.
Great Cheer by WHite another MAdonna Medley (when are we going do some
Freedom Rock like Iron Butterfly!!!) and a great quadripile flip by Leah
left the Burgandy dumbfounded..but came up with a Brittany Spears Cheer that
was quite realistic as half the team was only lip synching.

Orange-Jade

The game was tied at 15's when I left. Did Jade finally get their 1st
victory? Please let loring at lsh@cs.brown.edu know the score.

Purple-Black

No idea who won. I will guess Purple. Please let loring at lsh@cs.brown.edu
know the score.

fog rolled in with the darkness and stopped the game short. Orange played 4
women : 3 men for much of the first half. Great game, great spirit.
