1) GAMES WEDNESDAY:
Purple v. Jade - Moses Brown Tennis Courts
Denim v. White - Wheeler Soccer Field (across street closest to Walker)
Orange v. Black - Wheeler Soccer Field (single field on walker)
Burgundy v. Green - Wheeler Soccer Field (across street closest to woods)

2) Games Last Night:

Denim 17 Jade 7

Denim took full advantage of Jade miscues rolling to a 9-2 lead and never
looked back.

Burgundy 17 Black 7 ????

All I know is that the game was delayed for like 20 minutes as Bill Brown
needed to use his medical expertise to revive a woozy URI Jeff who got
smacked during Bill's behind the back backhand huck.

Mango(17) vs. Green(11)
Report by Cory Byrum of Screaming Green

There was a stiff breeze that ran down the length of the field at
Moses Brown yesterday. The predicted rain was nowhere in sight. There were
only a few clouds in the sky and they were nowhere near the sun. Birds were
chirping yatta yatta yatta? In short it was another beautiful RIPUL day.
Both Mango and Green were having trouble getting numbers at first.
Apparently the Greens were just showing up late and most of the Mango's
team are so late they'll show up on Wednesday. Even though they were
hurting on subs they were fired up and ready to play. Hope informed the
team that he wanted another quick game so he could watch some golf. We said
we would do what we could.
The first couple of points were pretty mellow. Both teams were kind
of feeling each other out. This wasn't the same Mango team we had played
previously subs or no subs. Greens went up 2-1 in the only lead we'll have
all day. Orange threw a zone and the Screaming Greens were having trouble
converting. That's right from now on they are Orange. I am after all a
really petty person. Orange went on a run with some nice hucking and a
couple of turnovers near our end zone caused as a result of their zone and
they shot ahead 6-2. The Screaming Greens once again rallied to the tune of
Colin's horn and settled the offence down so we could score a couple of
points. The half ended with a delicious huck from Cutter to Eric McAndrew.
It was 9-5 MangOrange over ScreaminGreen.
After the half the Greens came back out refreshed and smiling. We
started to work the zone better after talking at the half. Screaming Green
Amy was vital to breaking the zone because she was largely ignored by the
other team. They paid the price for their folly repeatedly as she was so
open it was pathetic. Amy also had a sweet huck to Megan Nolan in the end
zone, which slipped, off of her fingertips. Hope had a great D then went to
score in the end zone immediately after. To top it all off Megan was on the
Orange end zone line. I watched the stall count rise. Stall 7. Orange was
playing some really intense D and we couldn't get open. Stall 8. Two more
cuts came in and our only dump was cut off. Stall 9. Things looked grim.
Megan who had been eating Jenna's Chilly O cereal by the truck load put up
this rocket hammer to the back cone and Hope Screaming D machine
proved his game was far from one sided and came up with a one handed grab
for the score. The collective sigh on the sideline was audible. All of this
and other mayhem brought the Screaming Greens and Mango to a tie at 10 a
piece. From then on it was all Orange however. Their hucking game was on
with a couple of passes to Bear. The Screaming Greens couldn't shut down
the Orange O. They win 17-11. On a sadder note it was Screaming Green Amy's
last game. On behalf of the greens it was our pleasure to play with you
this summer. May you smile through all of your other endeavors. Thanks
again.
After the game there was a RoSham to decide that the Screaming Greens
would deliver their cheer first. That is all that is really important. The
cheer right ? After both cheers were delivered both teams went to Oliver's
only Mango lost their way from Moses Brown and left poor Brian from Black
stranded. Rumors have it he had to hitchhike back to the Cape. Watch out
Brian there are some pretty shady characters out there. ( Jeff ) Other
antics at Oliver's included shots of Tabasco sauce. Now that's a spicy
meatball !!!

WHITE 17 PURPLE 15
(Captain Chia of White)

Intense game ...great plays, bad plays, good plays...White took early 6-1
lead, purple stormed back, White took half 9-8, thanks to White's Arron great
play in endzone with Mom watching, White is still missing Eric Weis who is
reported to be in training in Germany, he is on a strict diet of braukwurst,
saurkraut and beer..Lance Armstrong watch out...
Game was tight for white. Leah of White made an excellent bid on a TERRIBLE
throw, but was not able to hold on to the lousy throw, but in Leah fashion
she came back with a truley awesome handblock on the goalline. Purple came
within one point but never quite made it and White was able to pull off the
victory...White did a Prince (or formerly known as Princess) song which was
not one of their best efforts as the game took alot out of Whites singing
abilities..Leah was still able to dazzle the Purple team and was still able
to get a 15' vertical elevation with her flippyfloppyflipp thing.
