Hot Damn! vs Brown 6-8-2005

Team Hot Damn! matched up with Brown (aka Team Quahog) on a beautiful early summer evening for Ultimate.  The game matched the young speedy legs of team Quahog vs the old cranky legs of Hot Damn! (Ok maybe just my old and cranky legs).  Hot Damn! hobbled into this affair with only 3 healthy men but 3 more than healthy women.  And it was the Hot Damn! women who played, well, damn hot as Hot Damn! played 4-3 for a majority of the game. The first half was a nip and tuck game with Team Quahog playing very well despite the absence of a few key personnel.   Several Quahog deep throws found their mark and the teams went to half 9-8.  Hot Damn! had a couple of key reserves show for the second half, but the men still found themselves playing savage.  The second half feature a couple of long points which Hot Damn! managed to win and those just might have been the difference as Hot Damn! prevailed 17-13.  Hightlights of the second half were two nice grabs by Dev of Hot Damn!, a foul called on a Greatest attempt by Lucky (maybe a lowlight?), and some great handling by Quahogs.
