red vs orange 6-13

All I know is, that it was a swelter out there today folks.  But I didnt need to tell you that.  So on to the game.  For the most part, the first meeting between Texas Hold'em and Hot Damn! (YEEHAW!) was a cordial affair through most of the first half.  Hot Damn!, with some chilly-O and stingy D, built a small lead of 7-4.

And then things got nasty.  

Freddy-O of Hot Damn! said "Ha! we got your Orange right here!" and proceeded to chug his orange sports drink (hey no shameless plugs here) right in front of the Texas Orange bench.  Well that got Texas all fired up and they reeled off 4 straight for a lead of 8-7.  Ian and A-Brown of Texas had some nice hucks for scores during this run.  Freddy-O was promptly benched for this indecent behavior and Hot Damn! regrouped to take half 9-8.  I was too busy melting to remember much of the second half, but do remember some slippery disks leading to some long points. In the end Hot Damn! prevailed 17-12.  The Chad bailed out Hot Damn! with a splendid rendition of Yellow Rose of Texas for the cheer. Oh and I remember some heckling from Blue on the other field.  Dont worry Blue, we'll get you.  And your little dog too (that was a Wizard of Oz reference for all you young'yns out there).
