By Mike of Hot Damn!
This was a strange game. It started with a Callahan Goal, of all things, by J. Leroux (aka The Nine Fingered Man) and Hot Damn was up quickly 1-0. But Yellow was ready to play early as Hot Damn was playing catch-up for all the first half. Yellow takes the half 9-8 on a well excecuted dump-swing for a score. There were many highlights of the 1st half including some nice throws for scores by the Eric McA - Sarah McA duo and a nice grab of a bobbly disk by a Yellow player which ended in a score a few throws later. For Hot Damn!, highlights included a big throw from Chris "Big Papa" Popham to Christine, some great layout catches from W. Dixon, a nice grab for a score by Mo.
The second half saw Hot Damn! play a lot of zone and this seemed to bother Team Yellow as they only scored more one point, which was odd after such a well played 1st half. The second half was a lot of short quick points and the game is over on a Callahan. Thats right, for those of you keeping score at home, the game started and ended on a Callahan. I told you it was a strange game.
Oh and by the way, we had great turnout (25+) at the Red Bridge Tavern for post game libations.
