Congratulations to Daisy for winning the regular season easily with a 17-2
record and + 115 point differential. They might be perhaps the strongest
team in RIPUL history. Damm, can anybody stop the juggernaut? Hot
Damm might be able to, as they dramatically jumped up from the 4th to the 2nd
spot with 2 huge wins this week, a thrilling 14-13 squeeker over Blue and a
17-12 win over Green yesterday. Meanwhile, Brown who thought they had the
#2 seed wrapped up at the beginning of the week, lost to Yellow Haze 16-15 and
Orange 17-12. Brown and Hot Damm split their 2 games but Hot Damm had a +
55 to Brown's + 53 point differential.
Velvet Blue took 4th with an 11-8 record and Leaf after the best start in
the league finished up at 9-10. There were 3 teams tied at 8-11, Orange,
White, and Purple. Again, we had to go to point differential, Orange
took the 6th spot with a - 2 PD. White and Purple both finished at -15 PD
but White beat Purple twice so they get the 7th spot. Black and Yellow
Haze bring up the rear.
Pools are Daisy, Blue, Leaf, Purple and Black and in the other pool Red,
Brown, Orange, White, Yellow Haze.
The schedule is below. Games will start promptly at 9:30 AM. We
will play games straight to 11, 1 timeout/half. I will have water
containers out on the fields and maybe some fruit. I would suggest
bringing some food to supplement. There will be pizza and watermelon for
everybody to eat during the finals. Award ceremonies immediately after
finals. Please plan to stay all day.
