RIPUL - Summer League Signup Info - May 4

We are pleased to announce signup information for our 12th summer league of RIPUL.  As usual, we will be playing generally every Monday and Wednesday beginning Monday June 4th at 6:00 PM with all day playoffs scheduled for Saturday August 11th.  For more info like directions, please see our webpage at ripul.org.  We plan to have 11 teams again and play default 5/2 and as much 4/3 male/female as we can.

Cost this year is $75.  Please send me a check made payable to either RIPUL or RIUPA and send to me: matthew brier, 2 dexter street, pawtucket, RI, 02860.  Along with your check, you should print out and sign the waiver form on the web site.

THIS IS IMPORTANT.  There is also a signup application on the web site that you need to fill out.  DO NOT SEND ME THE APPLICATION FORM.  By early next week, either Monday or Tuesday, you will be able to fill out the application form online and then it will be entered into our database so we can more easily compile draft information.  So, to recap, mail me the check and waiver now if you want, fill out the application form online next week.  Your check and waiver secures your spot though, not filling out the application form.

I am still looking for captains.   As an added incentive, captains will only pay $25.  Draft is scheduled for Wednesday May 30th.  Please contact me if interested, you don't necessarily have to be the strongest player.  Women are particularly encouraged, we already have 5 women who have agreed to step up.

As a side note, if you want to stay up to date on pickup info, you all should join the ripul yahoogroups.  Just because you are on my email list does not mean you are on the yahoogroups list.

Speaking of pickup, we are going to start playing this Monday May 7th at 6:00 PM on the soccer field at Wheeler.  We will have 2 fields, bring a light and dark.  Pickup will be every Monday through May 28th.  In addition, once you pay for summer league, you are welcome to play with us Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM also at Wheeler.  Although we organized teams, we have only played pickup so far so come on out.  We will be there this Sunday.  Bring a light and dark shirt.  

As a reminder, we are looking for t-shirt designs.  They are due by May 11th.  Winner gets a free summer league membership.
