The evening was grayer then Mike Bradley’s hair and mistier then his eyes after watching the movie Beaches. All n’ all a rough night for catching discs. The excess moisture caused jelly-roll to have some slippery wet accidents early on, which in turn caused me to relive traumatic childhood memories. As a result I spent most of the first half pacing the sideline and crying. Luckily the ever-present shroud of water was perfect for hiding my tears. With strong cutting, break-throws, and well placed blades, ultra-violet took half 10-7.
But when the second half rolled around jelly-roll showed a determination and grit that is quickly earning them a reputation as the grittiest team in RIpul. With an all around intense defensive effort (which included a lay-out block by Dave and intense marks from Bill), good zone popping and strong cutting from Rachel Laird and Susannah, and yet more beautiful lay-out catches by Eric, jelly pulled it out
