Kelly Green started out strong, with an excellent performance by Arthur Bledsoe, who caught the 1st 3 points (and many others throughout the game). Kelly cruised to an early 8-2 lead. Purple fought back to being the game to 13-9 with some nice zone defense, as well as a Callahan from Nick M (and he almost had 2!) Slime Time Live ended up winning with their patient zone offense and speed, taking the game 17-11. Purple wins the cheer, as the poetically inept Kelly Green team insisted on rhyming with 'purple', and failed miserably.
Kelly Green vs Forest
The battle of the 'Greens' started out in favor of Forest, as some nice flow on offense and some sweet hucks had them ahead 3-1. Kelly Green quickly got their heads in the game to go on a 8-1 run to take half 9-4. There were some sick layout Ds and catches made by Kelly's Ben Clark, who had an overall great game (and he's only 16!).
Forest had some sweet hucks from Zach Chapman that allowed them to strech the field and make for some exciting ultimate. Kelly tried some zone defense to neutralize this threat, and worked in their favor (with a nice Callahan by Palin). Kelly went on to win 19-8. Kelly Green finally had a cheer that was appreciated by another team, but Forest had the better cheer, rhyming 'smelly' with 'kelly'.
Thanks,
