With the oppressive heat wave in full effect, the battle between Orange and Columbia was sweaty, sloshy, and downright slippery on both fronts. From the beginning the game was quite tight, with both teams trading points. Stellar grabs were made by mighty
tall Ben Brush of Columbia , and some fantastic defense was brought on by young Robert Kenyon of Orange. When the score reached 4-3 with Orange in the lead, Orange began to pull away and took a 5 point lead to take half 9-3, with a memorable defensive play
by Evan Kirby, who was then given the bookends score from a throw by Bryan Wein. After half, Orange kept up with their calm flow to make more scores with credit due to the three captain's steady hands. Towards the end of the game, Columbia came back to score
5 more points with the help of Jen Beatty's speed, Dave Egan's epic layout grab, and Kye Ehrlich's hands in the endzone. With cap on, Orange sealed the deal with a perfect flick huck from Bryan Wein to a sprinting Justin Palin to end the game 17-8.
